Chizo Nwagwu is a public-interest technologist working at the intersection of product management, programs, and policy. Currently, Chizo serves as a Board Director for the Technologists for the Public Good. As an inaugural fellow in the U.S. Digital Corps, she worked as a product manager with the Digital Service at CMS. Previously, she nurtured her career as a fellow at Aspen Tech Policy Hub, Coding it Forward, Policy Innovation Lab Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, Ronald E. McNair program, and as a Fulbright Scholar in Nigeria.
GovCIO recognized Chizo as a FlyWheel Rising Star nominee. She delivered talks about policy barriers to user-centered technology in government at Code America Summit (2023, 2024, 2025), the Girl Geek X Elevate Conference, and other civic tech communities of practice. She published blogs reflecting on her experiences launching FindSupport.gov and improving research capacity. In 2022, she hosted and produced the public interest tech podcast, thinkcivic.
She holds an MS in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, where her work focused on open-sourced public interest tech products.
